About PuzzleSheets
A free, no-login sudoku generator built for the people who actually print their puzzles.
Why this site exists
Most sudoku websites are built for the screen. They push you toward an app, hide the printable version behind a sign-up, or bury the download link under three ad banners. PuzzleSheets was built the other way around. The printable PDF is the product, the website is just the place where you choose what to print.
Who it's for
Grandparents who want larger numbers than the newspaper offers. Parents looking for a five-minute logic puzzle their kid can solve at the kitchen table. Teachers running a thirty-puzzle worksheet pack as a Monday warm-up. Killer-sudoku enthusiasts who want a clean, ad-free PDF for a long Sunday afternoon. PuzzleSheets serves each of those audiences with a dedicated generator built around how they actually use the sheets.
How the puzzles are made
Every puzzle is generated in your browser using a backtracking algorithm. For 9×9 puzzles the generator runs a uniqueness check so each printed sheet has exactly one correct solution, which is what makes the answer key meaningful. Smaller 4×4 and 6×6 grids use tuned clue counts that keep the puzzles fair without slowing down the generator. PDFs are rendered with jsPDF directly on your device, so the file never touches a server.
What stays free
All current generators, all difficulties, all paper sizes, and the answer keys are free. There is no premium tier, no watermark on the PDF, and no email gate. If PuzzleSheets ever adds a paid feature it will be something genuinely new, not a paywall on the things that work today.
Built by puzzle people
PuzzleSheets is a small, independent project. Feedback, feature requests, and bug reports are read by a human at hello@puzzlesheets.com. If you teach a class with these sheets, print them for a parent, or use them at a puzzle club, we would love to hear about it.
